Invasion Youth

God is stirring His spirit in our hearts at Invasion!! Our Family Groups are walking through the book Jesus Culture by Banning Liebscher and are getting great insight on what it means to be under spiritual authority, passionately in love with Jesus, living a life of prayer, and reaching our generation for the glory of Jesus Christ! The time is now!

We are so proud of our students as they are taking the word of God and practicing it by having either daily or weekly prayer meetings IN their schools! How awesome is our God! This is the second year (and counting) that students have been meeting for prayer in their schools. I don’t know if you all realize this, but THAT is the start of revival!

Mark your calendar, also, for our fall retreat this year on October 29th-31st. We’ll be going to Look Up Lodge in Travelers Rest, SC, and it will be a BLAST! Packed full of Spirit-filled worship, teaching, fun, and excitement. It’s $149 per person, but it’s a small price to pay for a life change!

As you can see, we have a lot going on at Invasion, and want to make sure you can find a way to connect with us. That’s why our family groups that I mentioned earlier are so important to us. They aren’t just small groups that meet together to talk…they are what they’re called: family. We meet in groups every Sunday night at 6p. Beginning this Wednesday night (7/14) we’re moving to our Whiteford Campus. Same people, same worship, same Jesus, different location. We’re quickly growing out of space at The Rock so what we’re doing is taking the month of July and August and throwing out all the stops. Every week we have something planned, so help us by bringing as many folks as you can each Wednesday night at 7pm.

Come make our Wednesday night the best it can be at Invasion. You being there always makes it better.

It’s that time.  The Trip is getting closer and TEAMeffort needs the balance paid to keep our spots which means I need the balance from you all.  The deadline is tomorrow, May 5^th.  If you need me to tell you what you owe just shoot me an email and I will get you that info.  Sorry that we have to get the money in so early, but we will get a late fee tacked on if we miss the deadline.

Also, you should have received in the mail an info letter with all the relevant information and paperwork.  If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Some of our students will be attending a missions trip to Trinidad this summer. If you would like to help contribute financially we have set up a place to give online. Please be praying for everyone going on this trip, great things will happen for the people of Trinidad.

Cleansing Stream for Youth (CSY) has finally come to Invasion. Now on each Wednesday several of our students meet after a few minutes or worship to go through this life transforming Bible study. We’re looking forward to seeing them all “free and alive” for Jesus.

Many of our students are taking prayer seriously and praying for their campuses. We have three groups that meet in three different campuses daily or weekly to pray for God to move in the lives of their classmates, teacher, and administrators on their campus.

We have two mission trips coming up this summer as well. Our high school and college age students will be headed to the island of Trinidad for two weeks in June to share Jesus with the Trinidadians. And, our middle school students will be headed to Georgia to serve others by serving the community there and a local VBS program.

There is a great group of college age students that meet each Thursday night at The Rock from 7:00 – 8:30. Right now they are working through the book “The Fire of His Holiness” by Sergio Santglini. A great group to get connected to.

All said, God is doing some really great stuff. Come and enjoy being with some young people who aren’t afraid or ashamed to worship Jesus and pursue His plan for their lives. We would love to have you join us and be a part of what God is doing here in the Midlands area through Invasion.
